Understanding the Lead Time for Nesty’s Milk Vending Machines

Updated: May 9

Nesty’s milk vending machines represent a blend of modern technology and traditional dairy farming. These machines provide consumers with the freshest milk possible, straight from the farm, and offer dairy farmers a direct-to-consumer sales channel. But what does it take to bring one of these machines from concept to reality on your farm?

1. Initial Inquiry and Consultation

The journey begins with an initial inquiry. Prospective buyers can reach out to Nesty via our website, phone, or email. The first step is a consultation, either virtually or in person. During this phase, Nesty's experts discuss your needs, the specifics of their machines, and how they can integrate into your existing farm setup. This stage is crucial for understanding the product and aligning expectations.

2. Department of Agriculture

Nesty will send you a pack from the Department of Agriculture with information to be filled in and sent off in order to become a registered milk supplier. You can also apply for Leader Funding at this stage. Roughly 2 months after your application has been submitted and reviewed by the Department, they will send out an Inspector to your farm and show you anything that needs to be done in order to set up successfully like, building a separate pasteurisation room.

3. Order Quotation, Confirmation and Production Scheduling

Once your requirements are clear, Nesty provides a customised solution. This could involve choosing between different machine sizes, additional features like syrup dispensers, or even branding options for the machine. Based on these choices, Nesty then presents a detailed quotation, including the price of the machine and any additional features or services required.

4. Order Confirmation and Production Scheduling

After the quotation has been accepted and order is confirmed, Nesty schedules the production of your vending machine. This phase involves procuring parts, assembling the machine, and ensuring everything meets their quality standards. The duration of this phase can vary depending on the complexity of your order and the current demand for machines. Most machines have a lead time of 12 weeks.

5. Manufacturing and Quality Assurance

We at Nesty pride ourselves on the quality of our machines, which are manufactured with precision and care in New Ross, County Wexford. Each component of the vending machine, from the refrigeration system to the digital interface, undergoes rigorous testing. This stage is vital for ensuring that the machine operates flawlessly and adheres to food safety standards.

6. Logistics and Delivery

Upon completion and quality assurance, the next step is logistics. Nesty will deliver the machine to your location. The lead time for delivery can vary based on your geographical location and the availability of transportation.

7. Installation and Training

Once the machine arrives at your location, a technician from Nesty will install the machine. This process includes setting up the machine, connecting it to power and water sources if needed, and ensuring it's ready for operation. Following installation, Nesty provides comprehensive training to you and your staff. This training covers the operation of the machine, daily maintenance routines, and troubleshooting common issues.

8. Post-Installation Support

After installation, Nesty remains available for support. This includes remote troubleshooting, advice on maintenance, and any necessary follow-up visits. Our commitment to customer support is a testament to the quality of our service and ensures that you can operate the milk vending machine with confidence.
